Delivering Your Creative Power 2

These workshops form an arc, which explores the art of the creative process and the art of manifesting healing through creative "delivery". Discover where you block your process, and how to get on the path to expressing your creative power fully.

Release the blocks to your creativity. Be energized by your own creative power.
Learn to be more deeply connected with your creative gifts and to access creative inspiration at all times. During the workshops you will enjoy the experience of healing as individuals share their unique passions.

Don't know if this has ever been done here, but being from San Francisco I had to continue the tradition here. For those of you that are not familar with what this is check out this website. www.santacon.com/ Get your Santa suits ready to go out on the town!! So here's the deal (sorry for such a long post).

***Santa Fe SantaCon is December 6th*** That's right kids, SantaCon is coming!!! Just to let everyone know, I have listed the rules for SantaCon.

1. Santa does not make children cry. Really - If you see kids, give them nice toys, candy, or something pleasant. Parents and Tourists are a different matter altogether -- adjust based on their attitude.

2. Santa dresses for all occasions. It's December. Smart Santa’s wear multiple costume layers. Dress to maximize merriment whether singing Christmas carols in the snow, or swinging from a stripper pole.

3. Santa doesn't whine! We will be outside alot and commuting mainly on foot -- bring enough "snacks" to keep your pie-hole filled until we get indoors.

4. Bring gifts -- NAUGHTY gifts to give grown ups; NICE stuff to give kids. Throwing coal at people is discouraged no matter who they are. YES THAT INCLUDES POLITICIANS. But giving out coal is always ok….

5. Watching Santa get drunk and obnoxious is fun. Babysitting Santa while they vomit in an alley is not. Don't be that Santa.

6. Pay for your Beer and tip the bar staff, we want to be able to this again. Bribery gets you everywhere! Also pay for your beer or drink as soon as you get it. Other Santa’s get tired of waiting on Santa’s to clear their tab before being able to move on. This entire adventure should be a cash only. Credit Cards only take longer.

7. No Santa’s left behind. Don't go leaving one or two Santa’s in the process. Santas don't like that. Pick a few people you know and keep an eye out for them when it's time to move to the next location. If you don't see them, speak up so everyone waits. Every Santa should have at least 2-3 other Santa’s they look out for and that look out for them. We don't want to leave someone in the shitter and have them wandering around looking for us. Santa is safer in numbers. What one Santa couldn’t get away with without getting questioned, 50 can. Stick together Santa’s!

8. Memorize these answers to important questions that may arise:

* Who's in charge? "Santa"

* What organization are you with? "Santa"

* What are you protesting? "Nothing, Santa's having a party" (note: WE ARE NOT PROTESTERS!! We'd need a permit for that - and something serious to complain about...)

* How did you get here? "A sleigh and eight tiny reindeer"

* Where are you going next? "I'm only allowed to tell you if you wear this hat and buy me a beer."

9. Dress the hell up! You don't have to dress as Santa proper.
That's BORING! Variations of Santa-ness are deeply appreciated, both by those we bring joy to - as well as the other Santarchists! Variants of elves or reindeer or what-have-you are fine as well!

10. Please realize that this indeed is an event to have a hell of a lot of fun, and of course, with the assistance of liquor. It's not, however, an event to get shit-faced to the point that Santa’s end up insulting, fighting, degrading, or being assholes to people that run the places that we visit - or to the regular patrons that are there. Remember, we're LUCKY that they let THIS many jackasses into their places of business - and we'd like to keep coming back. Also, there is no "bail fund" for incarcerated Santii - so you'll be on your own with that.

11. Santa’s that drink should make sure that they are also Santa’s that can drive home, or make arrangements so that they don't need to. This is a no-brainer, but alas, I feel it needs to be said. I don't want any casualties. We need as many soldiers for "return tours", so to speak. With mass transit being what it is in Santa Fe, we suggest bringing a designated driver and of course carpooling as much as possible. The more Santii in each vehicle, the fewer individuals need to remain dry.

Santa Do's and Don’ts DO

* address every Santa as Santa, in the first, second, and third person, singular and plural.

* DO have something ready to hand out, even if it's just candy canes.

* DO many thorough soaks of your cleaning product containers before storing liquor in them. Santa's that want should bring flasks cleverly disguised as pine-sol.

* DO be ready for new adventure at a moment's notice. Santa is like a shark, and must keep moving in order to thrive.

* DO uphold the hallowed tradition of Never Washing the Suit.

* Let us not forget the sacred "four fucks":

o DON'T Fuck with Kids. I'm serious; this is supposed to be fun. Holidays are unpleasant enough for kids these days. If we can't brighten it at least we can be one less worry for them. If you see kids, give them nice toys, candy, or something pleasant. Feel free to hassle their parents though. Remember: The kids of today are the weirdos of tomorrow.

o DON'T Fuck with Security. If they ask you to leave a store, get the hell out and be nice about it, or other Santa's will take shit for it. Besides, they might call the cops and then we have to deal with the next fuck….

o DON'T Fuck with Cops. If the cops tell you to do something, DO IT. If you want to get busted, do it when you and I aren't dressed the same.

o DON'T Fuck with Santa and don't fuck with me or I'll puke on your suit, you damned impostor.

* DON'T quote a web address!

* DON'T point out someone!

* DON'T give out a name (except Santa!)

* DON'T supply an e-mail address!

* DON'T hand out a phone number!

More info of where we are meeting and what bars we will be going to can be found on the website. www.santafesantacon.com

We are still updating info as we make decisions, but at least the site is up. Make sure and get your santa suits ordered so they are here in time!! Links to cheap santa suits can be found on the site. Its going to be lots of fun!!!

Merry Fucking Christmas! And always remember Santa says, "Spread your Red!!!"

As eye hold space for ascension and the evolution of the soul, other dark forces are vying for their lot - what's to do? eye keep posting invitations and calls for action on the Ambassadors of Love Consciousness tribe, though, in the past, eye have gotten little response. how long do we think we can sit here... caught up in our apathy or exhaustion from 9-5 entanglements? what resources can we give, you give, eye give to this global transformation- eye don't know about you, but eye think feudalism is long outdated and way over-rated. freedom is a relative term, though it's complete truth lies in us each through our own manifestations of internal reflection. which is one way that eye know so many of your loving, creative, beautiful, passionate, liberated beings. and, with this in mind, it is very much time for the Jedi council to be held on a global scale with gr8 magnitude. we must assemble- the truth of our souls is praying that we move now, and gather together. of course, consider the likely result of our apathy:
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 10:34 AM
Date & Time: Thursday, September 6, 2007 more on this date
9:00 AM
Elevator 9 Trial - this Thursday September 6th at 9am at 421 Gold SW in Albuquerque in the top floor Court Room.
The Court House is on the corner of 5th & Gold, 1 block south of Central. The best way to get there is to get off at the Central exit of I-25 & go right on Central & take it to 5th Street & make a left, there are both metered parking & several lots in the area.

Please come and bring your Peace and Antiwar signs (but you won't be able to bring them into the court room, so maybe if some of you made your presence felt outside for 30 minutes & then came in, that would be GREAT.) - WE REALLY DO NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!!

So we hope many of you can be with us in SOLIDARITY & let the powers that be know that we ALL are firmly against this war.

As a lot of you know last September 26th nine of us went to Senator Domenici's office in Santa Fe to get him to sign the Declaration of Peace www.declarationofpeace.org which calls for the U.S. to get out of Iraq NOW. We were denied access to the Senator's office & when we entered the elevator to go up to his office the power was cut (the doors were still open) at the request of Maggie Murray, Senator Domenici's Santa Fe office rep. This lead to the 9 of us sitting in the elevator for 5+ hours taking turns reading the names of the American war dead as well as the names of 10,000 Iraqis whose lives were stolen from them in this illegal. immoral, and demonic war. Throughout the day there were as many as 20 members of various law enforcement agencies including - building security, Santa Fe Police, a Santa Fe Swat Team member, State Police, FBI & Homeland Security. At close to 5pm we were given the choice between being arrested or getting a citation, we choose the citation after consulting with the Homeland Security Officer twice as to whether we could get our day in Court if we took the citation.

Our case has been winding its way thru the Federal Court System (whoever said justice delayed is justice denied?) and now almost 3 weeks short of 1 year from our Action we are FINALLY going to have our day in Court. We are now 6, as the charges were dropped against one of our co-defendants who was under 16, and 2 others wound up taking a plea agreement. But we could ALL use your help this Thursday September 6th, so PLEASE try & come to our Trial & stand up against this war

Hi, I work as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in Albuquerque and I'm working with Acupuncturists Without Borders, www.acuwithoutborders.org, on a pilot program to provide free community style acupuncture treatments for veterans returning from Iraq or Afghanistan and their family members. We also welcome vets from any past war or conflict. The focus of the clinic is to alleviate symptoms associated with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) such as nightmares, sleeping disorders, violent tendancies, anxiety, stress, etc. Our mission is to help alleviate acute symptoms, as well as help prevent years of emotional turmoil for veterans. We are 4 weeks into this on-going clinic and the attendance has been pretty good and people are reporting positive results. Most of the attendees are from the Vietnam, Korea and even WWII era. If you or someone you know has served in Iraq or Afghanistan and may benefit from this type of treatment, please pass the word along. The clinic is held on Monday evenings from 5:30-7:00 at the offices of ABQ Airsoft, 2801 Broadbent Parkway, Suite D. Directions and additional information can be found on my business website, www.acupointswork.com. It is a walk-in clinic - no appointment is needed. Thanks.

Hello New Mexico Burners & Other Outdoor Enthusiasts
Here's something we may all be interested in.
Sophia

________________________________________
Hey everyone! Here's a fantastic opportunity to participate in a FREE workshop about "Leave No Trace" practices, May 20 and 21 in the new Ojito Wilderness Area just north of 3sidedwhole (North or Rio Rancho, in Sandoval County).

First off, let me say that "Leave No Trace" is one of the core principles of the Burning Man project, and is an essential world-view to cultivate. So I want to see as many of us from this community participate. This is important!

Secondly, we are incredibly lucky to have Mike Bilbo (aka Mirrorman) generously leading this training. Mike works for the BLM in the Socorro district, but he has also worked in Nevada and was instrumental in helping Burning Man acquire its special use permit in the 90's. He is deeply committed to this work, and has taught Leave No Trace trainings to many, many people all over the country.

And he assures me that it will be FUN!

Essentially what's involved is a 2 day trip, camping out overnight, and a hike through a range of different land types, from pristine to highly impacted. Along the way, participants will be taught to lead "mini-trainings" that illustrate how to successfully Leave No Trace. At the end, participants will be able to lead the trainings to others.

There is a little bit to coordinate in advance, so if you're interested, please contact Mike soon, at the number below. He's sent along some more info (see below) about the course as well. Call/email Mike pronto if you're interested.

I hope a bunch of you can make it!
Jonathan and all: I'd like to move forward on a Leave No Trace Trainers Course... So could you put out to everyone on the Main 3SW List that anyone who would like to attend, please contact me by email or phone right away. Thanks.

Mike Bilbo Outdoor Recreation Planner/ NM BLM Leave No Trace & Treadlightly Coordinator Socorro Field Office 901 S. Highway 85 Socorro, New Mexico 87801 Ph 505-838-1278, Fax 505-835-0223, E: mbilbo@blm.gov http://www.nm.blm.gov/recreation/socorro/socorro_rec_home.htm

Here's pertinent information:

Whomever plans to attend, I need their email or phone, so I can make the assignments and point them to reference materials. Everyone who takes this will be an official Leave No Trace trainer, to conduct trainings at schools, for Scouts, other organizations, and apply knowledge to 3SW and within various camps at BMan main.

The Trainer Course is a vital component of the nationwide Leave No Trace program. It is a shortened version of the Master course. Participants receive introductory training in Leave No Trace skills and ethics in a condensed two-day format. The Trainer Course assists the student participants in learning more about the seven principles of Leave No Trace and techniques for disseminating these low impact skills.

The Trainer Course is designed for educators, Girl and Boy Scout leaders, guides, Burning Man members, agency employees and other outdoor enthusiasts and professionals. LNT Trainer courses emphasize skills and techniques essential to LNT minimum impact outdoor ethics and education. However, LNT Trainer courses do not teach basic travel, camping or other outdoor skills, nor do they provide outdoor instructor certification.

Trainer Course participants gain the skills to teach Leave No Trace techniques and ethics to their clients, friends and family. Participants learn the concepts of Leave No Trace and prepare to teach Leave No Trace curriculum in a variety of settings-schools, camps, parks, wilderness and front country areas. Workshop topics include the underlying ethics and seven principles of Leave No Trace:

Plan Ahead and Prepare Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces Dispose of Waste Properly Leave What You Find Minimize Campfire Impacts Respect Wildlife Be Considerate of Other Visitors

The LNT curriculum focuses on techniques for learning and teaching minimum impact outdoor ethics. LNT courses do not teach specific outdoor skills such as mountain climbing, river crossings, camping, etc. However, due to the nature of the Leave No Trace program, the Trainer Course is taught in an outdoor setting. Engaging in outdoor activities involves inherent or other risks and dangers that can lead to injury, property damage or even death. Individuals interested in participating in a LNT course should have basic outdoor travel and camping skills and be in reasonably good physical condition before attending a course. Participants are responsible for their own safety, and assume responsibility for injuries resulting from the inherent risks of recreational activities.

Core Components for Trainer Course Curriculum

1. A minimum of 16 total hours of experiential instruction, 10 hours of which must be conducted in the field. One night camping will occur. 2. The role and function of a Leave No Trace Trainer. 3. The principles and ethics of Leave No Trace. 4. Teaching skills and techniques and student learning styles. 5. At least one student led teaching exercise by each participant. 6. Overview of the national Leave No Trace program. 7. The role and function of Leave No Trace, Inc.

Trainer Course Completion

Upon successful completion of a LNT Trainer course, each participant will become a Leave No Trace Trainer and receive a completion certificate from LNT, Inc. Successful completion of the course requires participation in all course activities and teaching exercises. Those who complete the Trainer course are equipped to:

Understand, demonstrate and teach state of the art minimum impact techniques for friends, family or community groups; Lead a discussion on outdoor ethics and help others explore their own personal outdoor ethic.

At least two of the events listed there now are full-on concert advertisements posted by a goober at ClearChannel. While I think it's perfectly fine that the Green Day show (and the Brooks and Dunn show as well, even though I wouldn't attend that one on a bet) most certainly should be listed, I'm offended to see it listed by the promoter who stands to make a pile of money from it, without kicking a dime to the folks at tribe. I guess this proves once again that there is no limit to the depth that scum sinks to.

Many speak of this town with reverence..it appears to be a haven for art and artists and indeed, has generated some of the best art the US has ever produced.

Bullshit.

Santa Fe is a town of rigid conformity. Civic law demands that no building be over 4 storys tall, and they all must be ADOBE BROWN, even if the buildings are not actually made of ADOBE. The buildings are the same color as the earth around that part of New Mexico. You would think that this would be great..unintrusive human habitation..the result is somewhat different however..what you end up with is a monotonous, monochromatic urban scape.

Everywhere you turn, it's brown. Brown brown brown brown brown. I don't care if I never see that fucking color again, and I was only there 4 days. Growing up there must be a nightmare.

At this time of year it is rather bleak. It's winter, but Santa Fe only gets JUST cold ENOUGH to sustain a few inches of snow which quickly melts and turns everything into mud. BROWN mud. The trees are leafless and bare. You eventually get the feeling you are in one giant mud puddle.

The city boasts a huge number of galleries. For it's size this is true. There really is little else in the way of industry there. Canyon Road is considered the high culture area. The galleries are piled up next to one another, and you quickly learn that they are indistinguishable. Some are folk, some are contemporary, some show ancient artifacts, and some are SOUTHWESTERN. But once you have seen one Pueblo Blanket for 2500 dollars you have seen them all. The street is filled with looky-loos walking up and down..typically white folks in their late 50's.

You cannot swing your arms without hitting a dirty Subaru.

Driving around Santa Fe is an excersice in idiocy. Natrually, the roads are shit.

The people who live there fall into a few basic groups. You have the liberal aging hippie crowd who drone on about what a great city Santa Fe is. They like to wear broaches and native trinkets they pick up at the oh-so-quaint plaza where the indians are exploited for their Kitsch value. You have the cowboys...seriously. In 2004, the age of the industrial feed lot. These fuckers wear cowboy hats and jeans. Reminds you that you are close to Texas. Then there are the indians. Hopi, Adobe, Publo, Navajo, and Assante. They sell cheap trinkets in town or work in one of the BILLION casinos around New Mexico. They appear in post cards in the gift shops too. Lastly, you have the spanish..the last vestiges of european colonialism are evident in the mish mash of native and catholic religion that people practice in the state. They also do the working jobs like construction and garbage collection.

One cool thing though..the Hopi got into a fight with the missionaries a few hundred years ago, and managed to win a battle where they stuck the missionaries heads on stakes and left the church to decay as a monument to the victory. To this day, the Hope forbid anyone from going to this particular church and it decays still. Right on.
